Call #096 - 08/14/16 - 01:36am - 1501 Lovedale Rd - Lincoln - Vehicle into a structure with entrapment.

Overnight, we were dispatched for a vehicle into Bellas Upholstery with injuries and entrapment.

Units arrived on scene to find a vehicle through the wall of the building with one person still inside. Crews stabilized the building and vehicle, and removed the vehicle's doors and roof to extricate the patient. The patient was transported to a local area hospital via Elizabeth Township Area EMS. Crews were on scene for just under 3 hours.

This was the second time in 12 days that someone hit their building, with this incident causing much more significant damage.

Thanks to Central Volunteer Fire Company of Elizabeth Township, Greenock Vol. Fire Company, and Elizabeth Boro V.F.C. for the assistance and a job well done by all.

Lincoln crews were dispatched for a single vehicle motorcycle accident on July 4th on West Smithfield Street in Lincoln Borough.  Engine 184 and Ambulance 610 responded to the scene, and were assisted by Elizabeth Twp EMS and Liberty Borough 183.  A medical landing zone was setup at the Lincoln fire station and the patient was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.

On June 11th, 2013, Allegheny county stations 184/610 (Lincoln), 183 (Liberty), and 139 (Elizabeth Boro) were dispatched along with Elizabeth Twp EMS 520 to a vehicle accident on Bellebridge Road in Lincoln Borough.  Initial reports indicated wires down and entrapment and Central-Elizabeth Twp 140-Rescue-7 was added to the assignment by Chief 184.

Crews arrived on scene, stabilized the vehicle and the utility pole, and began extricating the patient.  The driver side doors and B post were removed by the Rescue 7 crew, allowing access to the patient.

The patient was transport by ground to a local Pittsburgh area hospital.

Blaine Hill Squad 142 also assisted with traffic control at the bottom of Bellebridge, and Liberty and Lincoln police were on scene.

LINCOLN BOROUGH (KDKA) — A man from Lincoln Borough was taken to the hospital after he was hurt in a hunting accident Tuesday.

Officials say Dave Cochran broke a rib and has a possible concussion.

Neighbors say the top step of his tree stand broke and he fell about 20 to 30 feet to the ground.

“He was confused, so they transported him down to the hospital for head injuries,” said Dave Nagy, a neighbor.

Cochran was hunting with his wife in some woods behind a friend’s house in Lincoln Borough when the accident happened.

He was able to walk with some help out of the woods.

His wife was not injured.
