Shortly before 4:30pm on Tuesday, July 22nd, fire crews from Lincoln, Liberty, Port Vue, and Central and medical crews from Lincoln and Elizabeth Twp were dispatched to a working garage fire in the 4000 block of Liberty Way.  Initial crews were able to force entry into the garage and remove some burning debris and quickly put the fire under control.

Liberty Way was blocked for a short period of time while fire operations were occurring.  The Allegheny County Fire Marshal responded to the scene to investigate and determine the cause.

Come up and check out some of the entertainment this Saturday, July 19th from 1pm to 10pm at the Lincoln borough building located on Abes Way.  There will be games, food, the band NOMAD, fireworks, and much, much more.  These community days were organized to celebrate Lincoln’s 50th year anniversary of becoming a borough.  The fire department will be on hand as well and will be giving free blood pressure tests.

Our next meeting is July 9th at 7:30pm at the truck garage at 4312 Liberty Way.  Anyone wishing to join our fire company can pick up an application prior to the meeting.

Tanker 184-1 responded to Arlington Avenue in Port Vue for a garage fire on Saturday evening, July 5th.  Command had us standby at Romine and Hunter.  A couch caught on fire inside of a garage and luckily was extinguished quickly.  Crews ventilated the structure and our tanker was cleared after a short time on scene.
