Shortly after 8pm on Sunday August 30th, Captain Bertok & Firefighter Thomas heard screeching and a large crash near their residences.  Both investigated and found a single car into the guardrail on Liberty Way just below Finney and 2 males walking outside of the vehicle.  Captain requested Lincoln PD and Engine 184 non-emergency to the scene for cleanup and traffic control.  The driver of the vehicle was able to limp the vehicle onto a turnaround/widespot at the side of the road to get it off the roadway.  Engine 184 responded and applied oil dry and swept the street clean of debris.

The driver apparently had his throttle stick as he was making a left turn onto Liberty Way from Finney and drove into the guardrail.

Engine 184 cleared once things were cleaned up and Lincoln PD stayed on scene awaiting a private tow.
