Friday, February 12th, 2010 – Crews from our company handled call after call related to the February 2010 winter storms that hit.  It all started for us on Friday evening and we are still responding to calls related to the storm as of today.

Calls we responded to included:

  • Trees/Wires Down
  • Road Closures/Clearing
  • Welfare checks
  • Physical Rescues
  • Tree into a house
  • Residential Structure Fire in Port Vue
  • Medical calls in and outside of the borough
  • Transformer Fires
  • Carbon Monoxide Conditions inside a house
  • Fire Alarm Activations

As of today, Friday February 12th, most of the power is restored to the borough, however there are still some residents awaiting Allegheny Power to restore their electricity.  Allegheny Power is still actively working on those areas without power.
