In the late evening of Friday April 2nd, Lincoln VFRC received a call for a brush fire in the woods above Fuerher Drive.  Liberty Station 183 was added to the assignment and also responded.  Tanker 184-1 was first on scene but due to the terrain was not able to reach the fire.  Chief 184 and a local resident walked back to the fire scene and found a fire approximately 50’x50′ in size burning over a hill.  Engine 184 was able to drive back through the woods via an access road to get to the fire and deployed a 1 3/4″ trash line.  183 crews assisted on the scene and deployed foam on the area to fully extinguish the area.  Port Vue Station 237 was activated for standby while 184 and 183 operated on scene.
