For the second year in a row, crews were alerted to a structure fire on July 4th in Lincoln Borough.  This year, it was on Virginia Drive at approximately 3:30am.  Garbage cans and the outside of a house caught on fire and luckily the resident was awoken by the fire and was able to extinguish it with a garden hose prior to fire crews arriving on scene.

Lincoln Engine 184 and Liberty Rescue 183 crews performed overhaul, ventilated, and checked for extension.  Elizabeth Twp EMS responded to the scene and Chief 184 had Port Vue Station 237 stand by in their station.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
