June 7th, 2011 – Over the last two days our volunteers have answered 4 calls related to smoking trees in wires and downed trees.  During Monday afternoon, June 6th, crews Lincoln VFRC was called to Lovedale Road about a mile up from the Carriage Inn for a tree smoking in wires.  Engine 184 met up with the caller, and found vines arcing on high tension lines near the near bridge between Fuerher Drive and Mill Hill Road.

A couple hours after, Engine 184 assisted Lincoln PD with the removal of a tree blocking Yough Road.

Tuesday brought another smoking tree in wires call on Pierce Road, and shortly after that call was another tree down, this time on West Smithfield street near Liberty Way.
