May 25th, 2012 – The department has been busy over the past month, and we wanted to give an update on some of the things that have been going on.

First, thank you to everyone that helped support our company by coming to our annual Mother’s Day dinner.

Congrats to Erica Perozich, Halie Perozich, Nathan Bertok, and Eric Baker for passing their Essentials Module 1 class.  They all also took and passed their Haz-Mat Awareness class as they all build toward completing their full essentials training.

On Friday May 11th, our department assisted Liberty with a fatal garage fire.  Our engine responded to the scene and our crew assisted with fire attack and overhaul.  Thanks to Liberty for the picture:

On Friday, May 18th, our tankers were dispatched to assist the city of Mckeesport for two houses that were on fire on the same street.  Both tankers responded to Bennett street and fed Engine 161 multiple loads of water.
