July 28th, 2012 – A few minutes past midnight,  Lincoln 184/610, Liberty 183, and Elizabeth 139 crews were dispatched for a vehicle accident with entrapment on West Smithfield Street in Lincoln Borough.  Shortly after dispatch the call was updated to confirm there was no entrapment.  Upon the update, Chief 184 had Station 139 crews stand-by in station.

Engine 184 arrived on scene and found a vehicle off the roadway after failing to navigate a large curve.  Crews from Engine 184 and Rescue 183 setup traffic control, disconnected the battery, and stabilized the vehicle.  Service 183 blocked traffic at the top of West Smithfield.

The driver was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital by Elizabeth Twp EMS and all crews cleared after the vehicle was towed.
