Our tanker was called into the city of Duquesne around 1am on Saturday October 5th to assist with a structure fire. Tanker 184-1 responded and supplied Homestead Truck 171.
Initial crews from Duquesne and West Mifflin arrived to very heavy fire conditions and requested tankers to the scene. Our tanker, along with Monroeville Tanker 5, Jefferson Tanker 180, and PIA Tanker 100 all responded to the scene.
All tankers were cleared once the fire was under control and Tanker 184-1 cleared around 2:40am.
Shortly before noon, on Friday September 19th, we were dispatched to San Juan Drive in Port Vue at the Westwood Apartments for a kitchen fire. Fortunately, the owner was able to extinguish the fire before it grew and major damage was avoided. Our tanker responded to and stood by the scene until Port Vue’s Chief determined our services were not needed and we were cleared and back in service shortly after.
