June 10th, 2011 - During the afternoon of Friday June 10th, crews were dispatched for a motorcycle accident near the Clairton/Glassport Bridge in Lincoln.  Chief 184 held Liberty Rescue 183 and Clairton Rescue 123 in station and Engine 184 and Ambulance 610 responded to the scene.  The accident occurred on Lincoln Blvd at the intersection of Coursin Road.  Clairton EMS and Elizabeth Twp EMS were also on scene.  Ambulance 610 transported one patient to a Pittsburgh hospital.

June 9th, 2011 - The busy stretch continues, as crews responded to a house fire on McLean Drive in Lincoln Borough during the afternoon of Wednesday the 8th.

Engine 184 arrived on scene and found a working fire in a bedroom.  Crews from Liberty 183, and Port Vue 237 arrived on scene shortly after and assisted with establishing a water supply, fire suppression, and ventilation.  Interior crews were able to contain the fire to the original room of origin.

Elizabeth Borough Engine 139 was requested and responded to the scene for manpower.  Blaine Hill Engine 142 was put on standby for Lincoln and Elizabeth Borough during the call.

Crews on scene had to deal with 90+ degree temperatures.  Two firefighters were transported to local hospitals for heat exhaustion.

June 8th, 2011 - Around 1am on on Wednesday, crews were alerted for a vehicle accident on Pierce Road.  While enroute, dispatch informed incoming units that a vehicle was overturned and a gas meter was leaking.

Engine 184 arrived on scene to find a vehicle on its roof with all occupants out.  A trash line was pulled from the engine and the vehicle was stabilized with cribbing.  Liberty Rescue 183 also responded and assisted on scene.  Oil dry was applied to the roadway to control leaking fluids, and crews cleaned up a large amounts of glass, bricks, and vehicle parts from the road.  A representative from People’s Gas arrived on scene and attended to the gas meter.  The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the crash.

June 7th, 2011 - Over the last two days our volunteers have answered 4 calls related to smoking trees in wires and downed trees.  During Monday afternoon, June 6th, crews Lincoln VFRC was called to Lovedale Road about a mile up from the Carriage Inn for a tree smoking in wires.  Engine 184 met up with the caller, and found vines arcing on high tension lines near the near bridge between Fuerher Drive and Mill Hill Road.

A couple hours after, Engine 184 assisted Lincoln PD with the removal of a tree blocking Yough Road.

Tuesday brought another smoking tree in wires call on Pierce Road, and shortly after that call was another tree down, this time on West Smithfield street near Liberty Way.

The fire company will be hosting our annual Mother’s Day dinner again this year.  Doors open at noon on Sunday May 8th.  Price for an adult meal is $14 which includes a drink, salad bar, and your choice of a stuffed pork chop, stuffed chicken breast, or roast beef dinner.

March 19th, 2011 - The middle of March has become busy with a steady volume of both fire and ambulance calls.  Recent fire calls over the past few days have included landing Life Flight 5 at Breznay field for a medical emergency, a mutual aid tanker assist to the Glassport dump for multiple brush fires, and a reported structure fire in Port Vue that ended up being a false alarm.

The members have been busy lately with a rash of fire and ambulance calls over the last few days.  Calls included a smoke alarm activation at a residence on Liberty Way in Lincoln due to a microwave issue and burnt food.  Both tankers responded to Forward Twp to assist with a large brush fire caused by a tree knocking down a power line in a field.  The wind spread the fire to some large hay bale and our tankers were requested due to the remote location.

During the afternoon on March 3rd, units were dispatched for a single vehicle accident with injuries on West Smithfield Street.  Crews arrived on scene to find a vehicle with a guard rail through the back window.  There were 2 passengers in the back of the vehicle at the time of the crash.  One person was flown via medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital and another was transported via ground to a local hospital via Ambulance 610.  Liberty 183 assisted on the scene, and Port Vue 237 responded to Bellbridge soccer field for the landing zone.  Elizabeth Twp EMS and Lincoln PD were on scene as well.

During the late afternoon hours of Monday February 21st, crews were alerted for a vehicle accident on Bellbridge near Liberty away for a vehicle accident.  Engine 184 and Ambulance 610 responded and found a head-on collision near 190 Bellbridge Road.  Chief 184 had Liberty 183 standby in station due to icy and snow covered road conditions.  Elizabeth Twp Ems also responded, and Lincoln and Liberty police were on scene.  One person was transported to a local hospital and all others involved in the accident refused medical transport.  The vehicles were towed by Mendlowitz Trucking.

During the evening of Wednesday, January 19th, 2011, Units were alerted to a vehicle accident on Liberty Way in the 4400 block for a car into a tree.   184 Captain arrived on scene near the intersection of Harrison to find a one vehicle accident with air bag deployment with a driver and passenger out of the vehicle.  Engine 184 arrived and disconnected the battery and setup traffic control and lighting. Chief 184 held Liberty 183-Rescue in station due to road conditions and then cleared them.  Ambulance 610 also responded and assisted on scene.  Elizabeth Twp EMS checked the two patients and both were ok.  Lincoln Pd and Liberty Pd handled the police duties.
