Over the weekend of April 10th and 11th, Lincoln VFRC was requested to Broadlawn Drive in Elizabeth Twp with our tanker to assist with a house that had an electrical and smoke condition inside. Both tankers responded and stoodby on scene. Engine 184 was also requested by command to standby at a hydrant. While on scene there, another call come in for an accident with entrapment at Liberty Way and Virginia Drive. 140 Command released 184 Tanker 2 and Engine and they responded to that along with Ambulance 610 from the station.
On Sunday, Tanker 184-1 and a few members attended a structural burn class. While they were there, a call came in for a brush fire endangering a structure on Mable Drive. 184 Engine and 184 Tanker 2 responded to that call and was assisted by Blaine Hill 140 Station 2, Liberty Station 183, and Port Vue Station 237.
In the late evening of Friday April 2nd, Lincoln VFRC received a call for a brush fire in the woods above Fuerher Drive. Liberty Station 183 was added to the assignment and also responded. Tanker 184-1 was first on scene but due to the terrain was not able to reach the fire. Chief 184 and a local resident walked back to the fire scene and found a fire approximately 50′x50′ in size burning over a hill. Engine 184 was able to drive back through the woods via an access road to get to the fire and deployed a 1 3/4″ trash line. 183 crews assisted on the scene and deployed foam on the area to fully extinguish the area. Port Vue Station 237 was activated for standby while 184 and 183 operated on scene.
Shortly after 5am on March 27th, 2010, Station 184 was alerted of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Boston Hollow Road (Route 48) near the Cross Creek Inn. The call originally came in as being in Elizabeth Twp, however once units got on scene it was found to be in Lincoln Boro. Lincoln Police requested Lincoln station 184 to be activated. Liberty 183 was also dispatched at that time, however since there were already units on scene from Elizabeth Twp, Chief 184 had 183 disregard.
Engine 184 and Ambulance 610 responded to the Boston ballfield to setup an LZ for one patient. Stat Medevac 9 transported the patient to a Pittsburgh hospital. All units cleared shortly after Stat 9 cleared the LZ.
